Gas/Plumber Assessor

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and self-motivated individual to the role of Assessor/Trainer in Plumbing and Gas.

You will provide coaching and support to develop apprentice skills while monitoring their progress through to a timely achievement. You will complete and maintain assessment plans and learner portfolios both electronic and paper based along with the assessment of practical activities in the training centre.

The successful candidate must:

Be qualified to Level 3 (NVQ) in Plumbing and/or Gas. Hold current Gas ACS certificates CCN1, MET1 CENWAT

Certificate in Installation & Servicing of Domestic Unvented Hot Water Storage Systems

A1/Assessors award or willingness to achieve within a set period following appointment

A recognised teaching qualification

GCSE English & Maths (A* – C)

Have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience of working within the plumbing and/or gas industry, including on-site experience and in a training environment.

Have a valid UK driving license.

Technician/Maintenance

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and self-motivated individual to the role of Technician/Maintenance to our training centre.

You will provide assistance and support to tutors in developing the workshop requirements to deliver gas, plumbing and electrical courses. On going maintenance required including joinery, plastering and painting of workshop, classrooms and offices. The roll includes testing and monitoring of alarm systems and ensuring workshop stocks are replenished when required.

The successful candidate must have general maintenance skills.

Pipefitting, electrical installation and PAT testing would be an advantage.
