This new course from EAL is a combination of the following two courses;
EAL Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations 600/4337/4
EAL Level 3 Award in the Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations 600/4338/6
EAL is an awarding body, as is City and Guilds.
This qualification is the same as City and Guilds’ 2391-52 course and is recognised by competent person schemes (CPS) such as NICEIC, ELECSA and NAPIT.
The assessment for this course is as follows;
A 2 hour online exam with 60 multiple choice questions
A 1 hour periodic inspection assessment
A 2.5 hour inspection and testing assessment
Attendance/tuition will be either 7 days, one day per week or 13 evenings at one evening per week
The assessments will be carried out over a further full day or two additional evenings.
Prerequisites: You will need the latest edition of the wiring regulations and hold an electrical installation qualification such as NVQ level 3 electrotechnical installation or Part P domestic installers course. This is not a beginners course.
