Experienced Worker Assessment – Electrical (EAL Level 3)
EAL Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification (603/5982/1)
The Experienced Worker Assessment (EWA) is for electricians who have been working in the industry for a number of years but don’t hold a recognised Level 3 qualification. It recognises the competence you already have, without making you complete a full course of learning.
Who is it for?
- Practising electricians with substantial industry experience
- Those who hold a recognised Level 2 electrical qualification, or an equivalent qualification gained outside the UK
- Those who want to work towards an ECS Gold Card
How it works
- Interview and skills scan – we review your experience and confirm you are eligible.
- Portfolio building – you gather evidence from your work, supported by your assessor.
- Assessment – your assessor reviews your evidence and competence against the EAL Level 3 requirements.
- AM2E – the final assessment of competence.
Sessions are 1.5 hours and run on Wednesdays. You can book your interview and skills scan, portfolio sessions and assessments online.
